Name

In Norse Mythology, Embla was the first woman. She was created by Oden and two other gods from a piece of driftwood found on a beach. This is descibed in ”Völuspá” (”Prophecy of the Seeress”) The poem is preserved in Konungsbók Eddukvćđa from early 1400th century and tells the story of the creation of the world in Norse mythology.
